Saw a game/sim called Indycar Netrace Live (Northern Lights series) selling at EB today for $27.99 CAD. At that price I figured it must be crap. Anyone here venture to buy it?

I can't even get a hit on google. Jagg wrote: > Saw a game/sim called Indycar Netrace Live (Northern Lights series) > selling at EB today for $27.99 CAD. At that price I figured it must be > crap. Anyone here venture to buy it?
If it's anything like the free version I tested online at www.netracelive.com then it probably isn't worth it. -- Michael Grandy NSCSE "Jagg" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Saw a game/sim called Indycar Netrace Live (Northern Lights series) > selling at EB today for $27.99 CAD. The Net Race Live software was originally a free download from the Netrace Live site (http://www.netracelive.com/). We did an intro article on it last may on The IRL Insider site: http://irlinsider.adnetweb.com/400nrlintro.htm Unless it's changed drastically, it's an online-only thing that puts you "into" the action, kind of like NASCAR Heat's "Beat the Heat" mode. The main problem was that the "AI" (or "real") cars weren't affected by you at all, which was annoying. Also, you couldn't do anything with your setups, which meant you were locked-in to whatever they gave you. Still, though, I did have a bit of fun with it, so I'd say it's worth checking out. Check their site first, though, to see if you can download the program for less than EB's asking price. - JB On Wed, 28 Mar 2001 19:08:34 GMT, Jagg <[email hidden]> wrote: >Saw a game/sim called Indycar Netrace Live (Northern Lights series) >selling at EB today for $27.99 CAD. I believe there is also a NASCAR version of this. A friend of my Mom sent me alink to it a few days ago. I'll see if I can track down what it was about. ~daxe "andrew" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I'm at the site now. Don't think it's worth checking out even.

guess it's the first time a sim could make you throw up from something other than motion sickness. Jagg wrote:
