A couple of months ago I downloaded the demo of Stunt GP. It was a
very good game, arcade RC car racer, but really good fun.
A week after the release of demo I read that Stunt GP was cancelled,
Habro decided not to release it.
But yesterday Stunt GP has been released in Da Warez Scene.
Does anyone know if Stunt GP will make it to the stores now, perhaps
they found a new publisher, or is the warez version the only way to
get Stunt GP?
Andre
Hi Andre,
I found this on www.team17.com:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
4 Apr 01
Official European street date!
It's finally here!
After a change of publisher to EON, Stunt GP will hit the shelves in time
for Easter in Europe for PC on the 6th April!
Release dates in Europe for DC and in USA for PC and DC have not yet been
confirmed.

The demo's quite fun. I've been playing with keyboard as my wheel
(Sidewinder Precision) doesn't seem to get recognised (and it doesn't appear
that I really *need* a wheel with this game!). A couple of things seemed
strange though - in the "exhibition" races I couldn't figure out what
advantage (if any) there was to trying tricks when airborne, as the
aeromiles or whatever they are don't seem to have any use in this game mode.
In the halfpipe arena (where all you do is accumulate aeromiles) the
quickest way seems to be by just performing as many triple back somersaults
as possible before the timer runs down, as these are worth 2500 points each.
It gets quite repetitive just trying the same jump over and over....
Just my thoughts on it, makes a change from "real" driving games :0)
