Are there any online venues for Nascar 4? Similar to Heat.net?? I'm looking to get back into online racing but can't find any information. Thanks for the help
Go to "Multiplayer" and click on the "Sierra" logo in the upper part of the screen. Sign in and make an account (no cost) and your ready to go. Mike
Yep, Sierra and Papyrus have provided what is probably the most comprehensive and best multiplayer capability today with the sim, and no cost. As someone already mentioned, just click on Sierra.com and sign on up. On any given evening, you will see quite a number of races and drivers, plenty to choose from. Papy even provides some looping servers that are ranked, as do other folks that gratiously provide servers for the N4 racing community. Pick up races can be a pain, ideally you'll want to hang in there and better your ranking, then you can join some higher ranked pick ups where the racing is somewhat better. And then of course there is league play, which imho is the ultimate way to enjoy racing online. Other racing sim developers should take a hard look at what Papyrus is offering, as they have always managed to keep raising the bar in the multi environment. -- Don Burnette D Burnette in N4 Some people do nothing wrong. The problem is, they do nothing. And THAT is wrong. "Max VE3TMT" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:606D6.590908$[email hidden]... > Are there any online venues for Nascar 4? You just paid 50$ for a game, I wouldnt call the multiplayer capability free. Well... With EA... you will pay $50.00 for the game... then they will soon charge you a monthly fee to play your EA game online (Kesmai will be a pay-for online portal) In comparison to where the rest of the companies are going, I'd say WON is about as free as you're going to get. Also... notice the move by WON into the Flipside.com umbrella. This is because WON is losing money hand over fist (it ain't cheap to supply all that bandwidth and servers to ya), so they merged into Flipside (which is a subscription based business model, and is actually making some money from those "home-cardgame players). So the move to Flipside is a "bottomline" move for the corporation (Vivendi), to absorb/hide much of the loss WON is incurring each month, and to make the stock look better in these volatile technology times. Basically... enjoy it while it lasts... you may find yourself faced with subscription sooner than you think... on all fronts. Cheers, Schumi "Dick Funk" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:Dl8D6.685669$[email hidden]...
