I'm having major problems getting my uk version of gpl(version 1.0.0.0) upgraded ... when I run the official patch it says my version is not valid..... the read me says its only intended to upgrade from version 1.0.0.3 upwards... I tryed another patch that just extracts the new files to a directory and then gpl doesnt work ....what am i doing wrong..... is there another patch out to fix this or am I going to have to live without force feedback.. cheers in advance oz.

There are two patches for GPL and as I recall you have to patch 1.0.0.0 to 1.0.0.3 and then patch that. Both patches should be on www.papy.com or wherever you got the other one from. -- Tony Whitley GPLRank +8.59 "On some laps I'd get as many as fifteen corners really right, but Moss, he gets them all right on every lap" - Von Trips after the 1961 German Grand Prix.
the exe on papy's site says it will upgrade both ,but it doesnt............. ... oz. > > I'm having major problems getting my uk version of gpl(version 1.0.0.0) > > upgraded ... when I run the official patch it says my version is not > > valid..... > > the read me says its only intended to upgrade from version 1.0.0.3 > > upwards... > > I tryed another patch that just extracts the new files to a directoryand > > then gpl doesnt work ....what am i doing wrong..... is there anotherpatch

Papys UK patch is really confusing the US one has an installer but the UK one just comes in a winzip self extractor. To install make sure you have the UK patch (the US only installs for the US version) make a folder and call it "gpl patch" or something run the patch exe and unzip the files to that folder, then go to View/ Folder Options/ View/ and under "Hidden files" click "Show All Files" then just copy and paste all of the files to your GPL folder. Once you've done that rename "core.ini.sample" to "core.ini" the force feedback settings are in there. Alex "oz" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:9bgu6i$phg$[email hidden]...
