The AMA superbike server is still online, even tho the game is toast.
What is
odd is how bad the online is...especially when that was going to be the
major
money-making component of the game. two races, both at Mid Ohio, I never
saw
the other rider at the start, and so, while waiting for him to appear, his
system gave him the green flag and he rode off while I sat at the S/F line.
finaly(sp?) got going and locked up on the 3rd lap.
because of the lockup, the game was very hard to restart. I had to start
an offline
session about 4 or 5 times before I cleared all the error messages.
rejoined, same guy
was still there(thats the amazing part 3 folks online at the server!)
qualified again
started another race, I could see him this time, and when the flag dropped,
he never moved...well he was moving again...but my system just showed him
sitting there. So I
exited.
I am still amazed at the QUALITY of the track recreations...but other
parts are
incredibly unfinished. The moral of the story is I got an automatic email
from the
server detailing my race and the points I earned. hehe I'm RANKED!
