It's a racing game, not a sim. Never claimed to be a sim nor should it have been a sim. You might not agree with their tactics, but CART is going to have a very good summer in the marketing department. A videogame that is intended to sell and a movie that is intended to draw in the mindless masses. Neither is realistic, but both will raise awareness of the sport.

Unless either (or both) is *so* mindlessly stupid, that it casts the series in a strongly negative light. (I'm thinking more of the movie here.) Time will tell, but I'm not holding my breath. :( And for those who say "any publicity is good publicity", how are sales of Firestone-shod Ford Explorers nowadays? :) "But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark

I wasn't planning on it being a sim. However having two year old teams and a demolition mode is not helping CART any.
