gp3/gpl logitech ff gp

I have: gp3 (with patch) logitech ff gp, drivers 3.65 win 2000 directx8.0a but I can't get the wingman profiler to sucessfully reprogram the buttons to do things like get the gap or processor occupancy. Any one else managed this and want to share some settings? . If anyone has a good set of settings (includeing core.ini) for gpl, I'd be interested in that too. most of the ones that I've found are too light.
