I just installed an Asus V7700 Deluxe 32mb video card. Now, my TSW is going crazy. It's like it's hiccuping. This is a replay from N4. It's on lap with the optimized driver, sitting in the pits for a few seconds with the DirectInput driver just reving the engine, and another lap with the optimized driver again. http://www3.telus.net/decawi/GeForce_Wierd.zip Here's an GPL replay that you can look at to see what it's doing. I never left the pit. Look in the cockpit camera. At the end I wasn't even touching the wheel or pedals. http://www3.telus.net/decawi/gplwierd.zip I can't understand why just putting in a GeForce2 GTS would cause the game controller to go nuts. Yesterday it was fine... Today with the new Vid card.. I can't race. And you can't tell me the pots miraculously just went in one day. Dean

What version of video drivers are you using? I have a V7700 Deluxe and have no problems like you describe. Maybe your vid card is sharing resources somehow with your controller? -- eFalcon keyboard chart in PDF format http://storm.prohosting.com/~nos146/ef4_keys.zip
Here's what I've done and what I've found. Ok, Here's what I've done... -Installed various drivers from nVidia, including the latest. -Moved the sound card to a different slot -updated the VIA bios None of that worked. Replaced the GeForce2 GTS with the Voodoo card.. Voila!!! All's well. I want the GeForce2 card, so what could be the problem. The MS Sidewinder Precision Pro (Digital) works fine with the GeForce2 card in it, but the TSW Wheel (analog) doesn't. I have the same video card and a Ferrari FFB wheel. I get quaking/shuddering with the wheel in N4, but it works fine with GPL and other titles. I wouldn't have thought in a million years it could be the video card....but I'll pay attention to that now. I am using the NVidia 6.50 drivers because all the higher versions I have tried have zero performance increase but cause other problems. Loser Asus still hasn't moved to the Detonator 3 driver series, so that's a lost cause. Marc. 11.01 detonator drivers have caused me no problems. -- eFalcon keyboard chart in PDF format http://storm.prohosting.com/~nos146/ef4_keys.zip
I have the Asus V7700 Deluxe 64mb card and have no problems. Was using Asus drivers v6.31c with no problems but went to Detonantor 3 v6.50 , still no problems. Do you get menu screen corruption/blocking in GPL? In-game GPL is fine, but the nVIDIA drivers have all had a problem with the menu screens for me in GPL. The Asus 5.33a drivers were fine in this regard, but slower than the nVIDIA 6.50's. Can you specify a performance increase in the 11.01's? I tried several right up to 10.50 and there was no performance increase (in GPL or N4) over the 6.50's. Marc. "Nos v7.0000001" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I don't have GPL installed right now, just built a new system so reinstalling everything. I will install it later and get back to you on it. But, no I haven't seen a performance increase with any of the more recent drivers. In fact I found the last official drivers from Asus gave me the best performance in Nascar Heat. But, those drivers are not directx8 compliant. -- eFalcon keyboard chart in PDF format http://storm.prohosting.com/~nos146/ef4_keys.zip
