I've done a format of my HD recently and now I'm mising he split axis
checker from my Actlabs Force RS drivers.
Can anybody point me to the right drivers please? I've downed the latest
drivers (v2.1) from http://www.actlabs.com but hey don't seem to have hat
feature. (?)
That's odd. My v2.1 has the option. Here's where I found it on mine.
Control Panel -> gaming options -> select Force RS device and click
properties. I found the split axis checkbox on the Test Input tab. My
setup uses USB.
GL.

Take a look at this screenshot:
http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/989021233.jpg
it says v2.1 but there's no split axis checker.

v2.1 on it like yours does. I know I've installed the latest though
because I've got it in a directory where I save off all of the updates
for my various components.
Are you running using the serial port or USB? Have you started with
the drivers on the CD that came with the controller then upgraded from
there?
Sorry I'm not being of much help.

If that doesn't help I'm gonna mail actlabs about this one.

It looks to me like you have the wrong version of those drivers. I'm on
1.23 and that's what I see on the ACT-Labs page as the latest version.
Here is the way to remove the incorrect drivers and install the correct
ones (this is from ACT-Labs Tech Support):
======================================================================
1) On the Force RS CD there is a utility called RS CLEANER. Unplug your
Force RS from the power connection, and disconnect it from the back
of the computer, then run this utility on your computer.
2) Once the RS CLEANER utility has finished cleaning the existing drivers
from your system, perform the following steps:
a - Click START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL->GAMING OPTIONS and delete
any reference to the Force RS.
b - Click START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL->SYSTEM->DEVICE MANAGER, and
open the "Sound, Video
and Game Controllers" listing. Highlight and delete any reference to
the Force RS.
3) Once that's done, leave your Force RS unplugged and reboot your
computer.
4) Once your computer reboots, connect to the internet.
5) Go to http://www.act-labs.com/race1_support.htm
6) If you are using Windows Millennium Edition, download the Force RS
version 2.1 drivers located here:
http://www.act-labs.com/drivers/ForceRSv21.zip DO NOT USE THIS DRIVER IF
YOU ARE RUNNING ON WINDOWS 95 or 98!
Installation instructions for the 2.1 driver (Millennium ONLY) are
located here:
http://www.act-labs.com/drivers/readmev21.txt
7) IF YOU ARE USING WINDOWS 95 or 98 download this driver instead:
http://www.act-labs.com/drivers/ForceRS123.exe
Installation instructions for the 1.23 driver are located here:
http://www.act-labs.com/drivers/readme.txt
8) Follow the installation instructions for your specific driver.
It is very important that you clean off any existing Force RS drivers
from your system before trying to re-install them. if you do not have
the RS
Cleaner utility, you can download it from here:
http://www.act-labs.com/drivers/CleanFRS.exe
======================================================================
Good luck,

show a v2.1 driver for Win98. They do state that if you have problems
to contact Act Labs and then try the v1.23 drivers.
