Is there any news on the patch? I saw the posts last month to say that it
had been sent to the FIA, but then all quiet.

Ubisoft has really erred here. They should've gotten on their butts and
worked hard to get a decent patch released before interest in F1RC waned.
As it is, a lot of people are becoming dissatisfied with the wait and moving
on to other things. When the patch is finally released, it will have to be
a total blockbuster, I believe, else Ubisoft will never get the
formerly-interested F1ers back.
Regarding the news and to answer your question, I have heard nothing. There
was a blurb on something about a "fortnight". But that's a favorite word of
Ubisoft's. It makes them think of European Literature and the Gettysburgh
address, though they mistakenly mistook fourscore for fortnight. Ironically
enough, it just might be 80 years until we get a working patch for F1RC.

You're right. I already took F1RC off the hard drive this week, time
to reinstall GPL and start playing that again. Although I've had a blast
playing Nascar Racing 4 lately. Too many sims, too little time. :)
Ubisoft really blew it here, the patch was *in theory* due to be released
almost a month ago, and still no new news. I may reinstall after initial
impressions are given on it when it finally comes out, but until then I'm
going to put something more substantial on my hard drive.
