So I'm toying with the idea of replacing my reliable but limiting dial-up access with cable or ADSL. I've got 2 choices in my area, the evil phone company, or the evil cable company. Financially Cogeco's "digital package" has the slight edge as it combines digital TV + cable internet for about what I'm paying for dialup+ cable TV now. Plus, since my wife uses Email for work from home it means she can write off our cable TV as a work expense and that appeals to me on soooo many levels. Any good bad experiences with either of these two companies specifically? Your experience with Upper-Midwest Cable & Security Co. might be interesting but it's not likely to be relevant. ;)
