gp3 and gravis drivers

Is there any way to get GP3 and drivers for a Blackhawk Digital stick to coexist happily? With the latest drivers I get the 'DirectX not installed' error: is there an older set of drivers I can use? I don't use the stick for the game, I use a wheel, but I would prefer not having to uninstall support for my joystick every time I want to play GP3.

I use the 4.3 Experience drivers, they seem to work just fine for me. It's funny, I emailed Gravis about this DX8 problem with GP3 and thought they *might* fix it, but they haven't yet. At least not in the newest set of drivers.....oh well. :)
