hi all,
trying to get gpl running on a new thinkpad with a savage ix 3d
system, win2000. with the d3d patch, all seems ok and runs nicely BUT
the track turns black about 50 yards ahead of the car, which makes it
unplayable.
any ideas?

You have corrupted track texture files.......probably the wrong color depth.

I had the EXACT same problem with a Toshiba laptop (Windows 2000 too).
My theory is that the video card doesn't have a lot of RAM on it.
