What is the best F1 game and why? I only have GP3. I like the gp3_Edit utility so I can paint cars and install them. I like the wide variety of tracks and carsets going all the way back to the 60's that people have made. Is there a better F1 game as in depth? I find this game one of the most challenging I have ever played. Especially with no assists on. I have to use throttle assist. Im working on turning it off... all in good time though.

If you are ever in the market for Viagra, save yourself some money and instead just have a stare at your copy of GPL. David G Fisher "ymenard" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:f_hU6.59823$[email hidden]...

F1RC is the best, although F12000CS is very good also. You would probably be better off getting F1RC now, and F12001 in a couple of months. David G Fisher "Roulette" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Why get F1RC now? Why not wait for F1RC2? I have all the modern F1 sims. GP3 more than holds its own with either F1RC or F12000CCS. "David G Fisher" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:QfiU6.5128$[email hidden]... > F1RC is the best, although F12000CS is very good also. You would probablybe

I think you are making a good decision. Stick with GPL, even if it drives you crazy at first. Hell, I've been playing GPL for over two years and it still drives me crazy at times. However, it is also very rewarding when you make breakthroughs. I have even managed to win some races. Winning in GPL gives me a feeling of satisfaction unrivaled in other racing sims/games. If it'll get DGF up, it'll get anybody up! Seriously though, you won't do better than GPL. It'll make you a better all 'round driver as well. -- Fester
Since you didn't say the word 'modern' then GPL is comfortably the best F1 sim i've seen. "Roulette" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

You would probably be >better off getting F1RC now, and F12001 in a couple of months. I have to second that. Before the last real F1 GP I fired it up to check the track layout. F1RC does a nice job for that purpose. Then I asked myself: Would it be worth the time to drive a lap here with that sim? The answer was: NO. Not with that crappy AI, not with that stupid arcade'ish cars (even the Schumis can do well with them IRL ;) not with this no-go online play. So I went back to GPL, downloaded the newest addon track (guess we reach the 'one great track per week' rythm now with Milano, LeMans and Riverside :) and had a lot of fun.. Calis
