I decided to fire up GPL for the first time in a long while and wanted to try out Sopheve. I created a folder in the tracks folder named Sopheve, unzipped both files I downloaded to that folder and copied the Rouen.dat and renamed it. I fire up GPL and nothing bombs out or anything but the track just doesn't show up. I know I must be missing something. Thanks in advance, Kevin DeBello
Did you add it to the season.ini file? The readme file even gives you the lines to add; all you need to do is update the event number for the lines added (and the total events number at the top of the file). Yes, I did that also. I noticed that all the .mip files are in that folder. Should they be all together in one file? Thanks, Kevin DeBello "Darryl Johnson" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:mMaY6.32833$[email hidden]...

Have you hit the # of tracks limit? Isn't there a 32 track limit in GPL? I dunno, I only have 20-something tracks right now... Dale.
As well as the lines you have to add to your 67season.ini you also have to increment the numEvents=xx line at the top of that same file. If you've already done that try renaming the sopheve.dat to Sopheve.dat (with a capital S). Also did you download both files? The files are supposed to be the way you describe (ie lots of them). Thanks, that was it. I added the lines to the ini but didnt change the numEvents. Kevin DeBello "Simon Brown" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:77cY6.63096$[email hidden]...

Good luck, Robin
Urghh... I had exactly the same problem as Kevin. Thanks very much for posting the fix, greatly appreciated. GMF "Simon Brown" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:77cY6.63096$[email hidden]...

Happy you could make it, this occasion to raise a point, some of the tracks (sarthe is one of the latest) do all the "work" by themselves on install (copy to the proper directory, edit the gp and season files...) it would be VERY nice if the track designers would spend the extra 10 minutes (after months of work creating the track) to use this system. Maybe the guys who have it running could "open" it to the guys who don't have it yet... Thanks "Kevin DeBello" <[email hidden]> a crit dans le message news: _qdY6.288886$[email hidden]...

These do all sorts of things without asking or telling, so you've no idea what they've done or how to undo it if necessary. You'd have to keep a specific uninstall for each addon track, as well. I much prefer the simple explanation so I can maintain GPL myself. -- Laurence Wilmer [email hidden] --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
