Dedicated racing sim box: 750 Duron 128 MB RAM Voodo 3-3000 using TV output Driver version 1.04 (they seem to be more stable for me) Say you were going to install: N4 GPL TOCA2 F1CS2000 Rally Masters Colin McCrae DTRSC Leadfoot Install Windows 98 SE I have recently installed N4 first which of course installs DirectX 8.0 Most of the other games use an older version of DirectX so I always decline their option to install DirectX. My problem is I'm getting lockups in some games in single or multiplayer races. The screen locks and the speakers blare, etc.... I'm wondering if installing the older games first, and sort of upgrading DirectX that way would be better or not even matter at all....maybe DirectX isn't the problem.....? I also saw something in R.A.S. about AGP aperture settings in BIOS that I need to look at. Thanks Joe
