I've been plagued with stutters in GPL since upgrading from a K3-III+400 @ 550 to a Duron 800@933. With the K6-III+, I used a V2, and all was well - if a bit slow at times. With the Duron and a TNT2 Pro (using D3D), performance is excellent - *APART* from on the first lap of each race / practice session, where i would get horrible stutters every time something new popped into view. Well - I installed the latest Via 4-in-1 drivers (4.32v) last night, and the stutters are almost gone. Just a tiny stutter occasionally on the first lap - which happenned with my old system The drivers can be downloaded from places such as: http://www.viatech.com http://www.viahardware.com Note - these are only for Via chipset motherboards! Check you system compatibility carefully and don;t blame be if you screw something up :-) Hope this helps someone else as much as it helped me. Now - back to trying to get negative!!!
