Having huge problems setting up GPL on my worthless Compaq Presario 5630.
Specs:
Pentium II 400
256 megs ram
ATI Rage LT Pro 2d video card (agp) 8 meg video memory
Voodoo II 3d PCI card (Diamond Monster) 16 meg ram
Soundblaster Live PCI card
no modem
Win 98
GPL is latest version with 1.2.2 patch
The only way I can get GPL to recognize the Voodoo card is with the D3D
patch enabled in core.ini - but when the game boots the mouse pointer is
gone. If I boot GPL without the D3D info in core.ini I don't get the voodoo
text in the upper left of the splash screen - even with rasterizer3dfx as
last card booted in the app.ini file. So, where's the mouse pointer?
Actually, I don't care where it is, but
is there a fix for this?
