All of a sudden, N4 dumps me back to windows or reboots in the middle of a race. I can't think of anything I installed or changed that could cause this. I reinstalled the game, the 4.1.1 patch, and direct-X 8. Nothing helps. The last time I tried it, I got onto the backstretch for a qualifying run when the computer suddenly rebooted. Any help will be appreciated. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Professional Shop Rat: 36 years in an auto plant. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
David.... Your system specs would be helpful, including which operating system you are using and all drivers for mobo, video, sound and chipset (if you can find that out). Also, this could be caused by a weak power supply.....the boot occurring when the hard-drive kicks in to access the swap file? Its possible...but so are many other things. Tom

Abit KA-7 mb Slot A Athlon 500, oc'd to 683 256 meg ram Soundblaster live value Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (TNT2) Win 98 SE 350w ps Everything worked fine for months; this just started yesterday. Happens at random times. Sometimes on the track qualifying, sometimes a lap or 2 into a race, sometimes in the garage. I'm wondering about heat related probems. It was 90 yesterday, 95 where the computer is. Funny thing is, everything else works fine. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Professional Shop Rat: 36 years in an auto plant. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
