Question for the GPL "Hackers" community: Has anyone ever made the driver hands look like "hands" instead of bricks wearing gloves? You know, rounded knuckles and that sort of thing? I've just recently returned to running GPL....now the square hands are bothering me. Just thought I'd ask. Tom

Not a very helpful responce, but I experienced that I got faster after turning them off. :) Less distraction. -- Olav K. Malmin remove .spam when replying

Your eyes shouldn't focus on that portion of the screen, therefore hands should appear blurry and the problem solved. I mean, will you post something like "Has somebody yet fixed the mirror curvature? I'm sure you play all your racing games with the trackside detail turned off. It's not needed and only gives you a lower framerate.

So.....nobody has done this? I'm in shock! We have 954 tracks, 231 different cockpits (just for the Ferrari mind you), every tire and wheel ever made by man (including high-grip wagon wheels), a car set that includes every race car that's ever run in F1 (regardless of year), new exhausts, new headers, new plug wires, new pit boards, every color driving suit under the sun (ditto arm stripes).......but no one has put round knuckles on the brick hands? What is wrong with that picture? Guess I'm going to have to do this myself. Does anybody know how? Tom (Dang, I hate it when I have to actually contribute something back to this sim community when its so much easier to just suck the milk and honey from the breasts of those talented few!)

Oh come on Scott! Frank and I are just "talkin' racin' talk" here. Now, don't try to make something out of this that it isn't. Okay? "Hey Frank, now that WSC is going to be made into *Starsky and Hutch Sports Car Racing*......are you planning on bringing your old polyester, tight-butt leisure suits out of the closet.....to celebrate the "return of the infamous duo" from the old S & H days? I always liked the way those looked when you slithered into your cockpit to go sim racing. You know? You used to send me pictures of you suit'n up and getting ready to go run some Spy Boy....I really miss those." See, Scott......nothing but puuuurrrreee racing talk going on here! Tom -:)

Hey remember that WSC... errr oops Starsky and Hutch will be open-source, thus it'll be quite easy to add knuckles to the hands if there is any :) -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.ymenard.com/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimato Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...
OMG! Knowing what Frank really looks like... those are images I didn't really want to have!! LOLOL Hey Frank... have you shared your experiences from the LAN with the RAS crowd? I'm sure they would love to see the pictures and here how you assaulted those damn Trekkies!! ;) -- Scott B. I'm sure they would love to see the pictures and here how you > assaulted those damn Trekkies!! ;) Yeah I think they do not know. Well anyway, to resume the situation... ...Saturday night of the LAN, very late. In downtown Albany it's Halloween so there is a club nearby with people disguised. Two of them were Trekkies, and I was quite heavily affected by that incredible gift of life that is alcohol ( ;-D ). I shouted at them "Fucking Trekkies!!!!" as we passed them. It's an old inside joke from the fact that I'm the Star Wars geek of the Nascar community. I can't find the picture of me lying down on the table. Oh and I finished dead last at the LAN. Crashed, got crashed, fallen asleep on the wheel, etc... Bah this year I'll win! -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.ymenard.com/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimato Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...
I hereby volunteer to be the HAND model for TP's knuckle experiments. Yes just send that mega-pixel camera up here to Spokane and I'll try and find somebody who knows how to push the button and take pictures with it of my knuckles grasping a wheel...Yes I will only charge the union rate for Hand Models... dave henrie "ymenard" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:iOna7.25268$[email hidden]...
