hmm. Soon time for a new one then, and my MSFF has lost two buttons when steering left and squeaks when turning. :) And the ACT Labs system with wheel, gear shift and clutch looks pretty good. Anyone know how to get it in Norway ? :) -- Olav K. Malmin remove .spam when replying

I tried and after the Sierra logo, GPL crash to desktop. I got the same problem with windows 98. I don't know what to do. Anyone have an idea?
It will work, you just can't use the sidewinder software so therefore can't map any key functions or change your ff settings. -- Ian P <email invalid due to spammers> "Olav K. No options, split axis all the time, but who needs something else. >hmm. Wrong, it uses split axis all the time, its combined you can't select. -- Ian P <email invalid due to spammers> "Yoshihiko Minami" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:9la0is$hof$[email hidden]... > And, No split axis? > Hmm, what wheel does they use who playing GPL or N4 on Win2k? > LWFF is having FF trouble with Win2k too. =( > > > Y.Minami > > "Ian P" <[email hidden]> wrote in message > news:9l9e4g$cj1$[email hidden]... > > It will work, you just can't use the sidewinder software so therefore > can't > > map any key functions or change your ff settings. > >
That is true, but you can't turn off centering. Some gameports don't turn this off automagically for some reason. -- Ian P <email invalid due to spammers> "Ruud van Gaal" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Mon, 13 Aug 2001 21:43:36 +0100, "Ian P" <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >It will work, you just can't use the sidewinder software so therefore can't > >map any key functions or change your ff settings. > > But you still can change the FF settings for GPL in core.ini. > > > Ruud van Gaal, GPL Rank +53.25 > Pencil art : http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/ > Free car sim : http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/racer/

Fortunately it turns off centering and I've not heard about this problem with my sim thankfully. Turns off centering always. Get the patch-o-matic patch, from your favorite GPL site, and then your VooDoo card (yeah, I'm guessing) should work. Dunno why Win98 crashed, but hey, it's windows, it SUPPOSED to crash. -- Chris Bayly
