Hi all, this seems to be a stupid question, but: isn't winvroc supposed *not* to work with 4xFSAA enabled? i thought i read it here sometime, never tried until now, and it works...????? Joachim
That is with the NVIDIA fsaa. 3dfx didn't just throw thier FSAA implementation into a driver fix update. It was included in the silicon and works transparently to any 3d enabled program. However the first Nvidia method, didn't work as well or as completely. Thus Nvidia users were forced to turn the dang fsaa off to connect with vroc races. I had heard some users had figured out a way to go around the problem, but I never saw any solution posted. I haven't heard how the NEW GF3 cuncunx(or some odd sounding name like that) fsaa works with vroc. It was touted as being able to run without slowdown..(something neither the 3dfx or 1st Nvida effort could do) but that was quickly shown to be false. However the visual quality is now with the GF3 fsaa supposed to be equal to the V5 fsaa. dave henrie "Joachim Bddeker" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:9mu1ka$619$06$[email hidden]...

JB, From what I can gather, yer better off turning FSAA off and going to a higher res (abt. the same visual fx w/o the fps hit). P.S. Nice racing w. you today. --John Winter "Joachim Bddeker" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:9mu1ka$619$06$[email hidden]...

Thanks, that's what has been mixed up. i formerly thought nvidia did call the Anti-Aliasing "Antrosomething filtering". You're right. I went from 800x600, 4xFSAA with @ 28-36 fps to 1600x1200, No FSAA @ 36 fps. ;-) both except for the start(24fps, back of field) connected to my dedicated server with 19 AI and full visual fx; jf carset; detail slider about 50%. :-D > P.S. Nice racing w. you today. Well, I was not up to your pace with the Ferrari, but enjoyed it. After that, i transferred my Ferrari setup 1:1 (except gears) to the Eagle. My PB is now only 0.02s away from your best lap of the session. Next time it should be more interesting. ;-) Joachim
