I'm having trouble getting into GPLEA. After choosing GPL over SCGT I get into the GPL menu, but then within about one second the site reverts back to the window with the GPL SCGT choice. This happens over and over. Anyone else having the same trouble or know the fix? TIA Claude Beaudouin
No problem here, mind you I have had problems in the past. Turned out to be an issue with my ISP's proxie server. I get transferred straight in automatically. Here's the latest, as of 27 Aug. Rafe Mc From now on the car projects and car downloads are in the same section, so you can now download the car addons again. Have a look at the car projects section. The Cooper '67 will be online tomorrow. Ron's sound addon ismissing one file, which will be online tomorrow. The SCGT Legends files are back online ! We'd like to thank all those who so quickly offered to help, especially Bob Thurman. So as of this moment all links in the SCGT Legends section are working again. Contacts page updated. Please have a look, Matt has a new email address specially for GPL/GPLEA related questions, so please do not use the old email address anymore. Any changes in the future will be noted here. Updated this page, since some news items were missing. To remind you again, as of today the other site will no longer be updated, so please visit this site via www.gplea.org. Again, please stay tuned for some good news within a couple of days! The Dijon-Prenois preview is up. Check it out at the race circuits section Believe it or not: our car preview page is updated ... Mark Beckman was very busy again! His latest track creation is Riverside, where the US Grand Prix was held in 1960. This track is available at GPL Glory and The Back Stretch. The Circuito di Milano by Bubba Jones and his team is out! You can regard it as the long awaited "banked Monza". The track layout is the same but it not intended to simulate the full Circuito di Monza in every detail. Get the track and a lot of information about it here Volker Holz has released his 1967 Cooper T81-Maserati. The car is offered at the Vatican Pits (choose Vatican Pits from the menu on the left of the 'Best of GPL' page). Some have reported getting graphics-crashes at Le Mans Sarthe. There is a fix available but it is not clear yet if it solves the problems. Find out more here. Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe - yes, it became true! This legendary track is available for GPL now. Roland Ehnstrm, who already made Circuit Bugatti, has done this masterpiece with many others. Check out the details here. You can download the normal version here (4.6 MB) and the light version here (4.0 MB). Randy Cassidy from Papyrus has made a Grand Prix Legends CPU Speed Fix. It fixes GPL for CPUs with 1.7 GHz and above. Get it here in the "Downloads" section. Andre Streu released the Halle-Saale-Schleife, a track used in the 50s situated in the east of Germany. Get it here. The forums are now back online !! Many thanks to Phil Lee of the Legends Central, who's superb, lightning fast work made this possible so quickly. See you at the forums - ofcourse, still at the same address as usual. As of tomorrow, you can visit us again via the good old 'www.gplea.org' again. Thanks to our Gamespy/Sportplanet we have now found a wonderfully good host. Please stay tuned for the exact details, but we can already tell you that all the downloads will be online again very soon. Also please do not visit us any more at our old address www.kotr.de/org, but via www.gplea.org - the old site will no longer be updated. More details soon.... A public beta of Paul Thurston's GEM+ (an application intended to extend the GPL user interface) is available here. The forum here is intended to be used for support queries and comments. A new track is out: Road67. It is a superb road track built by Alain Bosco. Don't hesitate, get at Alain's site. Attention track editors: Guru has published ASE23DO, a program designed to convert ASE (one of the ways that 3D objects can be exported from 3DStudioMax) files to 3DO files. Check it out here. Eric Cote has made a preview video of the upcoming track Mt. Tremblant made by Gilles Benoit (with the help of Christian Roy and the chief instructor of Jim Russell school). Check it out at The Pits The URL of the forum at Legends Central has changed. The link above is working again. SabreTeam @ TeamFriendship has released Croft, an other challenging british track. Are you intersted in the progress of our upcoming track Clermont Ferrand? If yes, you can download a preview video kindly made by Rick Osborn. [SMALL (9 MB) | HQ (16 MB)] Mark Beckman has made a very good new AI for our track Snetterton 1967. Thanks a lot to him. You can download it directly from here. Great races guaranteed! Just unzip the files to your gpl\tracks\snett67 directory. Glacier International, a new fun track has been released by Mark Beckman. It is what he calls himself "the Nurburgring for average drivers". Check it out here or here. Bruce M. Johnson made it: THE Lotus 49! His absolutely great version 2 is ready for download. You can get it just here. The crew from Teamfriendship has released Tim McArthur's Sears Point Raceway (1999 configuration). You find this challenging track here.
