Warez request for the GP3 2000 add-on mocked

A poster asked for a pirated copy of GP3 2000, arguing it was really a patch. Regulars mocked the request, though some agreed much of the content was available free online. Discussion then turned to whether GP3 2000 deserved its poor reputation, with Todd Sorensen and Jan Verschueren saying it had improved feel and better AI racing than some rivals.

If Paint Shop Pro 7 is floating about, I'd like a copy of that too please. These time limited trials are a downright cheek, they should produce all their software for free. </sarcasm> -- Ian P <email invalid due to spammers> "Thom j." <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:VZSl7.176564$[email hidden]... > "O" sure!! His request seems pretty reasonable. 99% of GP3 2000 can be downloaded off the web for free anyway :>) Todd "Thom j." <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:VZSl7.176564$[email hidden]...

I don't disagree with the gist of your post, but have you tried it? -I'm pretty sure the improved feel (and physics?) cannot be downloaded. I was being a bit cynical. Yes, Jan I have GP3 2000 and I like it quite a bit. I agree there is improved feel. And Indy and Malaysia are nice additions. Actually, I don't understand why GP3 gets trashed so bad by some. For me, I enjoy it far more than F1CS and a little more than F1RC. Does GP3 2000 have the newly modified Monza with the changed first corner ? -- Ian P <email invalid due to spammers> "Todd Sorensen" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:hJdm7.76815$[email hidden]... > I was being a bit cynical. With you there, however I like still like driving F1RC better. On the other hand, as far as racing the AI is concerned GP3 2K is slightly the better game, IMO. GP3 got a pasting because Geoff made a name for himself as a developer at the cutting edge of PC racing simulations. When GP3 was announced and released several features short of a modern racing sim (graphics engine, FF before the patch, internet play, 4 years in development), Geoff thereby bowing out of the "simulation race" with Papyrus, a lot of people were sorely disappointed (myself included... I had hoped for him to top GPL). Jan. =--- "Pay attention when I'm talking to you boy!" -Foghorn Leghorn. "Todd Sorensen" wrote...

Check... I though it was modified after the 2000 season, but was wrong. Jan. =--- "Pay attention when I'm talking to you boy!" -Foghorn Leghorn. "Ian P" wrote... > Does GP3 2000 have the newly modified Monza with the > changed first corner ?
