Just bought GP3 2000 and greatly enjoying it, but I wondered whether it is
possible to change the 'in cockpit' view ie sitting further back in the
cockpit?
Also, but not so important, are there any cockpit add ons for GP3 2000 that
add 'hands' and maybe even 'legs' to the cockpit view?
Thanks
PJ
In regular GP3, at least in the menu options, you can't
change the viewpoint location. You can change the
view angle up to what? 140 degrees? It works well.

This option is greyed out (using hardware mode) so not sure what to do.

You will need to change resolution, iirc. It's all part of the piss-poor
effort by Geoff Crammond to give us yet another rehash of the decade-old
game engine.

Better this way than the WSC way..... Microprose is living up to their own
announcements, with the 1.13 patch and now the update. Gives me confidence
for GP4 next year.

Also if IIRC, you have to switch to "manual graphic settings" mode to
activate this option(?). Which is a total mystery logic-wise, but there you
go...

The only way GP4 can be a good simulation is if Geoff Crammond decides to
stop being lazy and dumps his whole assembler-coded game engine, starting
from scratch. Any future title using the decade-old game engine is bound to
be full of problems related to it's core.
