Just ordered a 256mb, Athlon 1000mhz with GF2 MX200. How well will Nascar4 run? Will I be able to use max efx at 1024x768? thanks
The athlon is more important I think than the mx200. Make sure you have TnL enabled. Good luck. dave henrie "Destroy" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Just ordered a 256mb, Athlon 1000mhz with GF2 MX200. > > How well will Nascar4 run? Spend the extra to get the MX400. -- _________________________ Conor Turton ICQ:31909763 _________________________
Gforce 2mx200 = tnt2 m64 Don't buy one make sure you get a mx400 and preferably an asus 7100 pro with 4.5 ns memory which can overclock to 220, 240 very easily. Geforce MX200 a regular geforce mx with 32MB and a 160mhz core speed. The MX400 is a 64MB card with a 200mhz core. > > Don't buy one make sure you get a mx400 and preferably an asus 7100 prowith

I did the MX400 64M card, it stank up N4, it has a slower chipset than the 32M MX200....I returned it and got the MX200...the MX200 should do you fine if you have the processor speed...which it appears you do...since I only have a P3 700 and am fine with it -- Greg31 Sjoerd de Roest wrote in message <3bba1bed$0$19392$[email hidden]>... >"Dave Beaudoin" <[email hidden]> schreef in bericht >news:R3%t7.35039$0%[email hidden]... >> Gforce 2mx200 = tnt2 m64 >> > >That's not true. I am sorry but you are wrong the mx200 has HALF THE BANDWITH OF A MX400!!!! Not to mention that the mx200 is clocked at 166mhz where the asus 7100 pro is set at 200 (DEFAULT) What I did say was the 7100 pro can overclock to 240, 260 because of the 4.5 ns memory on the card. I would suggest that you do some research on the cards I know I have. Dave Beaudoin

The MX400 has almost double the throughput of the MX200 (2.1Gbps compared to 1.3Gbps). Dan
