Don, I read some where about a device that would convert a standard game controller to connect through a USB port. Joel Guy Don Colliau wrote: > Are there any options for a gamecard if your copmuter does not have an ISA > alot? > > TIA > Don

Are there any options for a gamecard if your copmuter does not have an ISA alot? TIA Don
Well, most sound cards have the gameport built-in, and there are many PCI style sound cards so you should be all set. Some controllers will run on USB, but it usually depends on driver support from the manufacturer. -- Biz "Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand alloys and compositions and,......things with molecular structures,....and the....." - Ash Don Colliau <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3bbc996e$[email hidden]... > > Are there any options for a gamecard if your copmuter does not have an ISA > alot? > > TIA > Don

The main reason for the gamecards was due to the poor quality of the soundcard ports. But "Generally" speaking. From about the time of the SB Lives and Aureal A3d cards, "most" soundcards had a pretty decent gameport built in. as always...ymmv dave henrie
I tried the USB converter from Thomas Enterprises with my TSW. Did not like it at all. Be nice if there could be some high end wheels that use USB technology.
