anyone tried 21.85's and F1 2001 yet?

I see that the 21.85 dets are out and have this note: "New beta drivers version 21.85 have been released and these are the drivers you have been wating for. They have cured a multitude of nasty bugs in my system and have _really_ speed things up." Has anyone tried them with F1 2001 yet to see if they fix the problems present with the 21.81's? I would, but I won't be home for another 8 hours :-(

Yes I have and I'm back to the 12.41's I run those wth Fraps and get the best performance on my GF2 GTS On my Athlon 1.4 with 256mb I can run at 1280 x 960 in a race, after the start I get 40fps + with everything maxed except image quality which is at high not full, It looks brilliant. Despite the "advertising to the contrary" I would suspect you can just about bet that the 21.xx(anything) drivers are optimized for the GF3 cards and performance gains or claims will be relative to those cards and not the GF2 and below (especially, the lower-end GF2 cards like the MX or the GTS, etc.). On a GF2 ULTRA, the 12.41's ran the best for me too. But, that card is in the back corner of a dark drawer now.....several months back! Tom PS: DX 8.1 is now essential if you are running a GF3 and the new drivers.
