POCONO I started 43rd, (40%, 80 lap race) and on lap 4 there was a yellow flag incident. All cars pitted! So I took the lead. WHY did they pit? small fuel tanks or what? after that, every few laps they decided to have a pile up in the corners, and they tried overtaking by cutting across the grass! More laps under yellow than racing. The AI sure liked to pit. So I won. It was a long race (yawn). I was flagging and had yellow spots before my eyes at the end :) ALSO No "Gentlemen start your engines" at 'dega, but it won't be missed DOH Still the best Nascar sim tho' Alan
I raced at Martinsville and Loudon and I had fun with the AI. I started at the end at Loudon (can't qualify well with default setups :) and fought my way to 12th place before going 3 wide in a corner and wrecking like a rookie. The AI seems to accept a little more contact; before, whenever I touched another car at that track, I would wreck. I don't know if it was the patch that did that or some sort of placebo effect ;) Alan Coates wrote:

I sure hope so. 2 of the most annoying things to me was when you would lightly hit the LR bumperl of an AI car and YOU would end up spinning out and the most annoying was when your tires would touch ever so slightly and you would go shooting up the track like you were an open wheel car. I guess they forgot to take that code out or adjust it when they ported the engine from GPL. Might be my imagination, but it seems to me the AI now back off if there slight, accidental contact, whereas before they'd just keep on "pushing" as the player got more an more sideways. Not had a lot of time to try it either, but there seems to be improvement in this area. Jan. =--- "Pay attention when I'm talking to you boy!" -Foghorn Leghorn.
