This may (most likely is) useless info to all but a few, but here it is for the record and for future reference. Recently I upgraded to the newest sound and video drivers for my cards (Yamaha and Voodo 3). Suddenly I was no longer even competitive in any of my racing games--even when I set my self up so I should win most of the time. I just couldn't keep up. I have since gotten a newer faster machine and am back to being in the race. I was told what had happened was that the old machine couldn't run the drivers and the game at the same speed. Just for the record in case someone runs into the same problem down the road. Doing my best daily to piss off the Left Wing Lunatic Fringe...
