I read there are some leaked 22.50 drivers out there and wondering if they fixed the mirror problems in F12001 on the 21.83/21.85 drivers? -- Steve
No not for me I think it's a problem with F12001 more than the drivers I'm not having any problems with other games, untill the patch is out I think it's best to stick with 7.xx drivers. Alex "STP" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:kLdE7.963$[email hidden]...

No, made no difference. F1 2001 just doesn't like any 2x.xx drivers. for me the 12.90s work perfectly. Iain "STP" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:kLdE7.963$[email hidden]...

I've tried them and they have the same mirror problem as 21.85 in 16 bit color - just shadows of cars are displayed, except for the car body of your teammate's car. However, the mirrors work for me with all the 21.XX drivers when running in 32 bit color (1600x1200x32, PIII 1GHz, 512MB RAM, GF3, Win98SE, DirectX 8.1 beta, windowed mode OR using FRAPS 1.4, no HUD or overlays). I haven't noticed much of an FPS drop going from 1600x1200x16 to 1600x1200x32. From the [COMPONENTS] section of my CONFIG.INI file: ... CPURATING=4 SYSTEMRAM=512 VIDEORAM=65 OBJDETAIL=3 TEXDETAIL=2 VIDEOGUID=D7B71E3E-4140-11CF-3F7E-1A2001C2C935 VIDEODRIVER=0 VIDEOMODE=27 WINDOWEDMODE=1 PRIMARYONLY=0 FSAA=0 VSYNC=0 Brian "STP" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:kLdE7.963$[email hidden]...

Is there any particular reason that F1 2001 will not allow my windowedmode to be set to 1? everytime I change it to 1, it changes it back to 0. Ok, thx all. I just dloaded them anyway, but haven't tried them out. Don't think I will either because I'm running XP and I have read of some people getting the BDOD with them. I would use the12.90 drivers but none of them say XP compatible, only some of the 21.xx drivers are for XP. Are the 12.90 Win2K drivers compatible with XP?
Yes! They are the ones that work best for me by a long way. Iain "STP" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:QkrE7.996$[email hidden]...

I tried them with F12001 and it was pretty bad for frame rate until I installed the 21.83 drivers. I have used the 12.90 drivers on for a lonmg time on Win98 and are the best drivers for F1 2001 and if Ian says they are good on XP then I will use them too.
