Hi everyone, I just bought a Logitech Momo Racing since it seemed to get good reviews and the force feedback was well recieved. I considered the Logitech DFP (meant for PS2 but supported with 4.60 drivers) but supposedly it has lower accuracy. I run Win2000 and tried the Momo Racing with Richard Burns Rally and NFS:5 Porsche Unleased. (I am attempting to get NFS:4 working and then GT Legends). With the MOMO Racing, I find the force feedback really difficult to get tuned so it feels reasonable. The wheel is either really difficult to physically turn and gives marginal environmental feedback (braking chatter, loosening up under drifting/acceleration, etc) or it's lightly loaded and gives no real effects. I have to note that in both games I tried, the feeling when I went off the road was noticable, but other than that, I felt the FF was more of a gimmick. I've tried adjusting the settings, both in the Control Panel and in the games and I just can't seem to get the right combination. What settings do you guys suggest? Are there some third-party programs I should to fine-tune the FF settings? Anyone else use this wheel? Am I the only one that is disappointed by it? I just really want the steering wheel to feel loose under drifting/sliding (or air time), and for it to tighten during braking, curves and to feel reasonably light during normal operation (like a real car). In real cars you don't have the wrench the wheel to make it turn (even without power steering). Sorry for the long rant, but I wanted to give details so I could get some good feedback. Thank you in advance. Henry.

Over the years Ive compiled some useful tidbits for the Momo series wheels. It's aimed at Papy and most ISI based stuff. You can find the help here http://ras-factor.servebeer.com/ras-factor/faq1.htm On the left column you will find the Momo help. It took me awhile to get accustomed to the FF but now I couldnt be without it. HTH Mitch "H" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Hello, is there anything similar for the "Thrustmaster/Guillemot Force Feedback Racing Wheel" (that is one of the Ferrari-labeled). In some F1C-mods I am quite satisfied with the Force Feedback, i. e. in WGTS or V8 Supercar Challenge it feels ok, but i. e. ETCC Evo is horrible with a peeving force in center position and generally no feel. Any hints/recommended settings suitable for GPL, F1C+Mods, GP3? > HTH > > Mitch Stephan

Hey H... Goto Google.com, find the newsgroups" then search for momo, because my newsreader dont archive the letters much anymore but it was not but a month or 2 ago that someone reposted the MOMO setup guide for nascar racing (beneifits for RBR could come from the seting they use in the control panel. then search MOMO RBR, because when RBR was new everyone was passing that info around too... I have a Microsoft so I never saved that stuff, well actually i DID, but cannot find the some beech, on this PC at the moment, so maybe I did that at home? H enlightened us with:

Hi Plowboy, In article <GSqgf.22614$sg5.3309@dukeread12>, [email hidden] says...

Do you recall any specific text items to search for? I did a decent amount of searching and this was the best I could come up with: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.autos.simulators/browse_thread/thread /1295b95579c35f6d/dbb7b686022d74e5?lnk=st&q=RBR+MOMO&rnum=6 #dbb7b686022d74e5 (make that into one URL). Thanks H.
