Can anyone direct me to a url to download the latest patch for N4 (US
version) --- other than www.papy.com? Papy.com keeps re-directing me to
mirror sites like Gamespy, etc which require a fee.
All I want to do is download a freakin' patch without signing my life
away, first.

You can use the "autoupdate" feature in N4 to download the patch.

There are only 4 links. The first two are hosted by Sierra themselves (Free)
The 4th one is hosted by Gamepen (free)
The 3rd one is hosted by Fileplanet. This is also free but you just have to
wait in line or pay if you want immediate download.
So, all 4 are free
Not sure where this pay thing came form

I'm a registered GameSpy user and don't even bother when I get directed to
FilePlanet, (fear of more Spam maybe?). Just to many pages & fill out this
ya-know?
I have always found other sites to get my files from in about the time that
it would take to go through all the FilePlanet logon BS. (And usually FTP
sites with resume BTW).
Other gaming posters mirror my sentiments EggZactly.
