I keep trying to enter races and n4 is telling me I am not qualified to enter. How do you get qualified?
Harry, if you're a newcomer to Nascar4, you have a 0 rating in all 4 types of races, superspeedways, speedways, short tracks and road courses......due to this, you'll need to find races with a rating of 0-10, if you look at the racelist screen one of the headings across the top is for ratings, choose races set as 0-10 and you should be able to join. As you finish better in your races, your ratings will increase. Race in servers that have a 0 (that's zero) rating. And in awhile, if you do fairly well, (avoiding the wreaks) your rating will increase from 0 to 10. -- 1907 - Daytona Beach Florida Glenn H. Curtiss rode a V8 powered motorcycle to a 136.30 mph record in the measured mile. The Chicago Daily News headline reads: "Fastest Mile On Earth, Bullets Are The Only Rivals Of Glenn Curtiss"

And make sure you FINISH the races you enter. If you drop out you are scored as having completed fewer laps and have a lower finishin position for the ratings server... Look for races with as many drivers as you can get. While the servers bearing the "papyrus" name are often what we like to call "wreckfests" if you can avoid hitting people and getting hit you can often get a good finish as a lot of people just drop out from frustration. It can actually be good practice getting through some of the messes. If you get into a race with 30 starters and manage to run clean a top 5 or 10 finish is worth quite a few points. If you get into a race with 5-6 starters a 1st or second place is worth very little. AND....it takes a minimum of 4 drivers to qualify for any rating points. Some races are "unrated" and can be good online practice but they often don't attract many players. DB (Don't gimme NOCRAP in E-mail)
Also if ratings aren't a huge concern to you, look for a dash "-" in the RTG column, these are unrated and open to all. If you see an "X" in the RTG slot, that means the server is telling you that you are not rated high enough to drive in that event. The Papy (12, I think) Level-6 (Ha!) server is the racetrack from hell. Never have I seen such a collection of idiots who think they know everything, and practice nothing. -Larry "PHYDEAUX99" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > >Subject: Re: N4 Online > >From: "REDLINE426" [email hidden] > >Date: 11/13/2001 8:39 PM Eastern Standard Time > >Message-id: <cQjI7.1533$[email hidden]> > > > >Race in servers that have a 0 (that's zero) rating. I feel your pain. I know that when you have a good online race where they race clean (very rare) and you have a competitive setup it makes the whole online experience fun. But it's the idiots that don't know how to race or try to win on the first lap at all cost can really screw up an otherwise good racing experience. The ones I love all the A*%holes that get wrecked early and feel it is their duty to take out all of the cars that are trying to race fairly. That's why it's best to try to find a online league to race in. "Larry" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:hsBI7.70916$[email hidden]...

I've noticed that many people have difficulty getting around Turns 3 and 4 at the Superspeedways at 80mph during the pace laps. Same thing, every race. Qualify bad. Someone wrecks up front at the start/finish line, takes half the field out, I stop, then get run over. I really wish I could do a league, but my schedule doesn't allow for it :( -Larry "WingNut" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8nDI7.36637$[email hidden]... > I feel your pain. Sounds familiar :) Too many people watched Days of Thunder. You know, floor it, and you'll get through the wreck. It don't work. I ALWAYS get ass-ended if I slow for a wreck. And it's always MY fault, of course :) Maybe the kiddies can't reach the brake pedal yet, and just have a book propped up on the Gas Pedal? -Larry "Rob Berus" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:wZNI7.16440$[email hidden]...
