NFS V : Drop down menus are blank

The game plays fine but in the menus the fonts are fuzzy and the dropdowns are blank but you can select what would be there if you could read it. WindowsXP ATI Radeon 8500/ATI Drivers SBLive Platinum AMD 1.33 / 256M PC133
