Talk about good reviews.. here's one:
http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/reviews/0,10867,2829773,00.html
I love this part:
This sense for keeping a vehicle on the edge of control is one of the
hardest things to model in a computer game. IL-2 is probably the best
attempt at doing this since Papyrus' Grand Prix Legends.
Yup, I'm one of those GPL fanatics.. and IL2 is the first sim that
astonishes me just as much as GPL did back then :)

A lot of us GPLers are also flite-sim fans (as a
matter of fact, I'm amazed at all the familiar names over on g.f.s.). And,
yes, I have IL-2 and am struggling with it...in the same "good" way I did at
first with GPL!

I like that the reviewer mentions physics and GPL in the review :) I've
tried the demo and it looks amazing on my P3 500 w/ GF2.

One of the many good things of IL2:
It runs supersmooth on my P3 866 GF2 with everything set on maximum
detail on 1024 res!! And the graphics are simply stunning..
