OT: Network / DUN freezes... any cure?

Guys, I'm having this weird problem thast occured to me after I got my ADSL connection... Every XX minutes or so my connection seem for "freeze" for a certain amount of time.... now the weird thing is that this stuff does *not* affect my online racing as it seldom occurs when I'm racing.. It does however occur frequently when I'm doing just about everything else online... read mail - usenet - surfing the web - up/downloading stuff... The damn thing is that I cannot seem to find out whats causing this... other that it is in fact occuring on my computer.. I.E it's the computer that does "something" and not my ISP etc. - I THINK! Reason why I think this is that when the freeze occur - no traffic is going *to or from* my DSL modem - nor am I able to get up the advaced option on my connection... It's like somethign freezes in my DUN or network "things"... Any sould out there who got any good advices to offer?? This occur on a AMD T-bird 1.33ghz - 384mb memory - MSI K7T Tyurbo mobo with VIA chipset.. and WIN98 SE. - D-Link NIC and Alcatel DSL modem Another point worth mentioning prehaps is that this has happend to me before using ISDN-card - but for some strange reason disappeared again... Advices greatly needed. ed_
