----- Original Message ----- <snip> Oh, almost forgot: make sure the mod uses the '69 physics in GEM+ (GPL69), as, apparently, this is not nescessarily the default setting after installation and I spent half an hour trying to get a blue Honda under 1m05s at the Glen. <g> Jan. =---
Great. I'll try it. Very ugly cars in 1969 though !! "Jan Verschueren" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:mqHnf.73171$[email hidden]...

Don't agree, I actually think the low wing varients are pretty cool, and those big tires on all of them sure are welcome! GP >On Tue, 13 Dec 2005 20:30:01 -0500, "JTB" <[email hidden]> wrote: >Great. I'll try it. Very ugly cars in 1969 though !! >

Quite strange to look at, but the way they were implemented at the beginning of the season, one doesn't need stiffer springs to accommodate the download and we don't need to worry about the darn things collapsing. A win-win situation. <vbg> Jan. =---
Hi all -- just downloaded the 1969 set and the update GEM. when I attempt to setup the 69 carset i get the following message --- "Unexpected error Please check file access permissions The installation will be terminated" Does anyone know what i need to do or how to make the needed adjustment for an install? Should I download the 69 set again? Assistance appreciated. Doug On Wed, 14 Dec 2005 21:02:35 GMT, "Jan Verschueren" <[email hidden]> wrote:

Perhaps some files in the current GPL install are read only? Often the case when you restored an install from a CD. Cheers! Remco
Thanks for the info -------- However, it seemed to be in the download, so just for fun and giggles, I decided to download the entire set --------- again. Time consuming, yes, but I wanted to make sure i was on "level ground" before I started digging around in the other things. Turned out ------------ it WAS the previous download, and the third download went in and works like a "Champ" This could be the answer to some problems -- not sure, but it sure worked for me. Just for the information to the masses. take care everyone, Doug On Thu, 15 Dec 2005 10:47:51 GMT, no@email (Remco Moedt) wrote:
