Happy Holidays!
Our league, GPL-Virtual Online Racers (GPL-VOR) is expanding and we're looking
for a few good drivers. By that what we really mean are drivers who are want
to compete in a clean and positive environment with good sportsmanship, fair
play and most of all fun!
We've recently added a new second division for beginning to intermediate
drivers. Division 2 is primarily populated with drivers who have ranks in the
+30 to +100 range and have limited amount of experience competing on online
simulation racing.
Division 1 is primarily populated with drivers who have an extensive amount of
experience competing online and have ranks of +29.99 and lower; Although the
majority of our current Division 1 drivers are in the 0 to -30 range.
At the moment we have 9 seats open in Division 2 and 2 seats open in Division
1. But regardless of which division you're interested in competing in, keep in
mind GPL-VOR is primarily and about having fun.
For our upcoming season, which is set to begin towards the middle to end of
January and will run for 16 weeks with a midseason break, we've adopted a new
race format that allows drivers to compete in any car they choose.
We've also adopted a new points chart that pays from first through twentieth
place. However, we added a special twist to this format by adding a progressive
constructors handicap system to our points chart. This means that drivers who
choose to compete in one the "slower cars" i.e., BRM, Copper, etc., will gain
extra bonus points for competing in that car. So MOG strategy could play a key
role in deciding the divisional championships.
We may not be the fastest drivers around, but we've got a really nice group of
people. So if you're interested in competing in a clean and fun environment
check out our website at www.kingofsims.com and feel free to contact me at
[email hidden] or Norseman at [email hidden] and let us know.
We look forward to seeing you on the track! :-)
