Joke naming suggestions for NASCAR Racing 2002

Marc Collins asked everyone to call the new game NR2002 rather than N2K2, which led to a string of joke names such as "NASCAR 4.1" and "No Right Turns 2002". Posters noted Papyrus appeared to be moving to yearly titles and recalled that NASCAR 4 had been delayed to early 2001.

NR2002 looks like an EA title, wait for N5 to come out. -- 1907 - Daytona Beach Florida Glenn H. Curtiss rode a V8 powered motorcycle to a 136.30 mph record in the measured mile. The Chicago Daily News headline reads: "Fastest Mile On Earth, Bullets Are The Only Rivals Of Glenn Curtiss"
From the sound of their press release, the yearly naming convention will continue from now on...so no N5 but 2002, then 2003 etc... at least that's what I read into it. dave henrie "REDLINE426" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:OhhY7.337767$[email hidden]...

True, but N2002 could just of easily been it, or vice versa. I guess there are 2 tracks that have right turns, but the teams get "real race car drivers" for those tracks, because the typical red neck nascar driver isn't good enough for those tracks.
Anyone care to do the research to answer this post? Maybe like posting the record of Regular drivers vs. Hired guns for the road course. Seems that the hired guns haven't faired so well, with the only exception being Robbie Gordon. And heck, he is a regular nascar Driver....but he may have to go back to other forms of racing if he can't compete with the rednecks..... I think your right.. No N5, but probably NR2003.. Or maybe they'll go biyearly and take us for 50 bucks every 6 months?? :) Dave Henrie wrote: > > From the sound of their press release, the yearly naming convention will > continue from now on...so no N5 but 2002, then 2003 etc... > at least that's what I read into it. > dave henrie

Actually, I believe it was released in February 2001. I could be wrong, but I remember Nascar Heat beat it out the door, before Christmas, and N4 followed soon after. IIRC, We were geared up to get N4 in November, then they dropped the 3 month delay bomb on us. -Larry "Stuart Becktell" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:ga4Z7.72227$[email hidden]...
