.... until I get a better system. ;)
Hi, guys! Looking forward to getting back into racing, am happy to be
seeing all the familiar names..... Cliffy, Frankie, John, Eric B..
I've been hopelessly addicted to a different type of sim, WWIIO. There's a
few of us from this group that are playing that with me nightly. If that
game didn't make me buy a better system, the next NASCAR title surely will.

Returning racer weighs NR2002 framerates and WWII Online
Wheeler said he would wait for a better PC before trying NR2002 and talked about his addiction to WWII Online. Others reassured him that NR2002 framerates were similar to NASCAR 4 once configured, and the thread drifted into Medal of Honor and other shooters. Some suspected the operating system explained the varied framerate reports.
Automated summary.
What's WWIO?

It honestly is not that much different than N4 when it comes to frame rates.
Just a matter of getting your settings correct.
Nice to see ya Tom!

Yes, MoH has a LOT of potential. It looks alot better then the DoD mod,
IMO.
um.... no? :) I think it's pretty awesome. The sounds are fantastic,
plus the character animations.... go watch Band of Brothers or Saving
Private Ryan :)

WWII Online was fun. I have it, but don't feel like paying for it :) I
bought it in June knowing there would be no good summer releases in racing
sims. My friend got it too and we had many late summer nights playing it.
Pretty fun, but by the time they made us pay, I hadn't played the game for
about a month (school and new racing sims) so I dont plan on paying for it
now.
Thanks,
Alex

Why are so many people reporting low rates, then? Presumably, they are
running N4 and NR2002 on the same machines, so video card settings shouldn't
be an issue?

Not sure, but that's my guess.

Wow, didn't know there would be, the last was so cool!
No kidding, Cliff, since 1.4 of WWIIO, I've been able to do nothing else,
haven't bought a game since last July, and am not worried about it.
Tonight, I was in a battle for a city where I could see at least 40 of my
squad members spread out, and saw tracers & enemy units all over the place.
WWIIO is the most intense gaming experience I've ever had.
Hoping NASCAR 2002 will rival it! Bear in mind, we are talking apples
& oranges here, but..... man, from a "sim" perspective, WWIIO has got it
nailed!

none.

I'm not into FPS games that much, but I recently saw the 10 minute long demo
of medal_of_honor_allied_assault and I do believe I may have to buy this
one.

He's not kidding. It's 10 minutes long, and is the most awsome fps thing

It is either drawing/sucking more resources or it isn't optimised.
