Hi folks, Im currently looking at picking up a TM Pro Digital wheel which is afaik the old TMF1 but with USB. Ive seen quite a few posts on the TM forums about driver problems, but is there any other shortcomings i should be aware of. It seems TM tech support is almost non existent, but how well do these wheels hold together. Also, does anyone know the calibration range you get on the wheel and pedals (via DXtweak or GPL wheel calibration screen) im interested in the raw values and whether they are the same as the old gameport version (TMF1) Last but not least...... is there a latency problem with the wheel, IE: does it respond fairly instantly to input or does it have laggy response. Thx in Advance Ash
I had an * OLD * TM2 which did fairly well, but there was NO comparison between it and the Logi Wingman FF I replaced it with. The Logi (the original all red wheel) is still doing fine for our grandsons and I replaced IT with a factory refurbished original red wheel and then had Jens Schumi's ball bearing kit installed. The best of both worlds, I'd say, with a very low total cost. Maybe you've been able to try them all, but if not, the Logi is worth a look, especially if you could get the original red unit. And I would tend to discount the views of the purists who scoff that force feedback is a gimmick; I drove 'fifties era passenger cars with the power steering of that period, and if you think you'd like that totally numb, completely devoid of road feel and tactile cues type of experience, you can have it with any non-force feedback wheel in your favorite simulation! Good luck! Glen Priest Ashley Miskelly wrote:
