anyone else having problems getting Nascar 4 to work in Windows 2000 I'm using an ATI all In Wonder Radeon video card. screen locks up a few minutes into the game but you can hear that the game is still going after the screen locks up ( i hear the car crash into the wall after the screen locks)
Jimmy, I been kinda skimming this group, and it would seem not as likely the win2000 problem as it is radeon problem, which can be amplified by windows 2000... Up to date drivers are of course the 1st thing to check. Other than that, Im not sure how they are curing the radeon problem. Thanks fro the reply I have all the latest drivers for both the game and my video driver also all the updates for w2k. the reason I tend to think it does have something to do with w2k is the fact that the game ran fine when I used win ME with the same video card.
I had your exact problem only it was with my Voodoo2 card. It was heat related. Cooling down the card by putting a fan on it fixed it. Try removing the case and sticking a house fan to blow accross the card and see if it stops. Otherwise I would go to www.rage3d.com they have a forum that would probably help more since it's an ATI fan site. I had same problem with my AIW Raedon....and heat seem'd to be the enemy. I got one of them clever little fan units that fit in one of the card slot openings and put it in the first PCI slot right next to the AGP card. No problems (at least of this kind) since. (Don't gimme NOCRAP in E-mail)
