Hi,
I just upgraded from a Voodoo 3, to a GeForce2 Ti/450. I was having some
trouble setting up NR 2002 Season Demo and I noticed that although I have
DX8 installed, the D3D entry from the DirectX control panel applet seems to
say that it is D3D7.
Is this normal?
I wanted to ask around before resinstalling DX.

Dunno, but considering the probs some ppl are having w, DX8.1 (never mind
the evil 8.1_beta & the orig 8.0), I'd stick w. 8.0a. Remember, it's well
nigh impossible to go backwards on DirectX installs, so don't succumb to the
temptation to install the very latest. Better to experiment w. Detonator
installs, which give you free rein to go backwards and forwards...altho I'd
start w. 7.52 and proceed cautiously thru 12.41 and 12.90...and maybe 21.83
and 23.12.
