A friend of mine is considering getting a new desk after his Momo shook his old one to bits, anyone got any recommendations as to a suitable make/model or style that will withstand the power of this beast!! TIA Trev
get one of those big green metal ones that aerospace engineers/teachers/government types use. You can get them at various surplus places. Bring a big pickup truck and four people to move it with. TB

I have the wooden version of that desk. It sure is nice to know the house will never blow away :) Seriously though, try an office furniture liquidator or refurbisher in your area. This desk i use has the 6 drawer setup and an 1 1/4 thick solid top. I wanna meet the wheel that can splinter this behemoth. Hehe
thx for the replys here, maybe Momo wheel desk syndrome is more common than i thought!!

And something else I forgot to mention: If you do get one of these desks (the green metal or the big wooden kind), plan on keeping it and being responsible for it for the rest of your life. NO ONE will take them. They are on the Salvation Army's "list of things we wont take under any circumstance" along with bean bag chairs & hide-a-bed couches. Seriously. I had one of the green metal ones (got it for $25), and it took me WEEKS of calling to finally get someone to come & take it for free. And even that took two attempts. The first guy that came out and tried to take it away only succeeded in dragging it halfway across my front lawn and the giving up and leaving it there. There were HUGE tracks dug into the sod, and the thing was listing to one side like it had been torpedoed but still wouldn't go down. It sat there for a WEEK, making me look like the hillbilly of the neighborhood until they finally came back & picked it up with three guys, and one of the guys looked like he could tear off a set of prison bars - which, come to think of it, he probably DID do at one time. TB
