I've seen this topic discussed from time to time here but IIRC there's never
been a definite fix.
Watching WRC on TV has prodded me into playing CMR2 again but I see my old
stuttering problem is back...
I'm currently using: PIII933, 512MB RAM, ATI Radeon 7500 (64MB DDR), Intel
D815EEA MB with 64 MB AGP aperture and a pair of ATA-100 7500 rpm HDs.
That combo should run any game at a respectable level.
I set CMR with middle of the road graphics options, Env. Mapping off,
1280X1024, draw distance=10. Even dropping to draw distance=5 and 1024X768
doesn't ensure smooth framerates.
Anyone have a possible solution to the stuttering?
Dale.
Vsync enable? you must disable it.

I thought about that too, but it is disabled.
Dale.
There is a tweak somewhere that suggests doing something with an Audio Codec
in Device manager - can't remember what it was though.
This may provoke some memories from someone.
Andi.
