Does anyone know how I can set up my sidewinder game pad pro so that buttons b are accelerate and y is brake. The game only seems to allow the D pad to control these. When I set the gamepad up in schemes to mirror keyboard keys the response is very slow. I have the latest sidewinder software , drivers and game patches all running on a P3 700 with win98SE.

My guess is your game is now set for analog brake and throttle axis, and you're looking for digital input. Maybe there's some controller setting you need to change, or maybe another connected controller is in the way (try rebooting with just the gamepad hooked up, and see if you can set it up right). Game recognises and correctly identifies gamepad, but even when I remove my joystick leaving the gamepad as sole device I cannot get the game to use the keys as desired. Can only input D-pad (no buttons accepted) to control accelerate/brake in analogue mode , game will not accept anything (not D-pad nor any buttons) for these in digital mode Dave "Ice D" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:47R58.50$[email hidden]... > > "dave" <[email hidden]> wrote in message > news:Wai58.43405$[email hidden]... > > Does anyone know how I can set up my sidewinder game pad pro so that > buttons > > b are accelerate and y is brake. etc
