Hello RASers..
I just added DirectX 8.1 for recording programs I need to use and
work with but doing so it now wont let me run F12001. Any ideas?
OS=Windows 98SE, Video=Asus GF2GTS Pro, Drivers Nividia.
RAM=512mb, Sound=SbLive, HDs=ATA133 Maxtors 3-30gigs,
Joy Conrtoller=Thrustmaster Ferrari FF Wheel

I was same prob,but i set d3d off and then back on...

Haqsau.. All that happens is a box comes up with this!
"F1 2001 can not be run on this computer. No DirectX8 video
adapters found. Please contact your video card vendor for updated
drivers."
Well it is DirectX8 and I have the latest drivers! Aint these game
sims just grand! phew.. What a pain in the azz... Thom_j.

Its just that I run hundreds of programs on my computer with
no clitches or hitches but there always seems to be a problem
with one sim or another chronically if you will. I just dont see
why these 'sims' that are designed have so many problems? I
run some extemely complexed Graphic and Sound programs
but never have any of these problems! Why? Odd. Real Odd

you might want to look and make sure that you still have the graphics
acceleration settings on full in windows. Otherwise you might try
reinstalling F1 2001 and patch. Hopefully someone will come up with a
better suggestion. :o) Good luck!

my system! :) Both Nascar4 & 2002 works better. Even ole GPL
works! All my kill'em-shoot'em up games work too Unreal, Q3A
and more... So it seems weird to me? I'll give your suggestions a
try by doing a new install & re'install the patch.. Might as well as
I cant run F12001 anywayz!!

not,u must be test put d3d off and then again on....thats help me...all
other games work but not F1 2001 and Rally Trophy...but before that even
those work ;)
