Jari Jokinen 03 Feb 2002 11:21 UTC#138291
I have the appropriate track files at dummy directories: C:\sierra\n2\tracks\bullrun (not C:\sierra\n2\tracks\bullrun\bullrun) C:\sierra\icr2\tracks\clevland but the converter says "Application NOT found" wherever I try to point it. I have succesfully converted Trenton (I don't have NL), Silverstone and StJovite. Just few weeks ago I gave my ICR2 and N2 CD:s to a friend who has an ancient PC, but I assume that at least in case of Bull Run they are not needed. I looked at the Sierra N4 forum and someone else seems to have the same problem. Thanks for any help Jari Jokinen
Hi Jari, I think you indeed need to have the game(s) installed or on CD. I don't know which file(s) the converter actually checks for (exe alone or with other files, or a competely different file), but having the track alone is not enough in my experience. I had to install the tracks either pointing the converter to the games' original CD's in the drive, or from an installed game. I'm surprised you could install Trenton without having NL. But I think the prob you're having now will go away once you have the original CD's in the drive, or the game installed (in the case of Bullrun). Good luck Achim "Jari Jokinen" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a3j6ef$189btt$[email hidden]...

actually, you just need to ignore that message and make sure it is pointed to the c:\sierra\n2 directory. When you click ok, you should see bullrun and cleveland available ... Phillip "Jari Jokinen" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a3j6ef$189btt$[email hidden]...

I was able to convert bullrun without installing N2 again. Just unzip the file to something like c:\temp\tracks\bullrun and point the converter to c:\temp. It will say 'N2 not found' or something but when you hit ok it will list any tracks it finds. I did this for both Bull Run and Trenton, without a problem. I had in the end to get hold of the old N2 demo from some obscure place on the net, reinstall it, copy the tracks folder to there. Only then would it work. On 3 Feb 2002 08:53:02 -0800, [email hidden] (jason moyer) wrote:
