Yeah, right! It'll be X-Box first, where it'll run like a dream, then PC where it'll run like a dog on anything below 2ghz - wait and see! And guess what - we'll all have to buy an X-Box... The pessimist.
"Geoff Crammond along with his own development company Simergy has produced a game that in Crammonds esteemed opinion, surpasses even the heady heights of Grand Prix 3." Phew, I'm a bit dizzy after reading that one. The "heady heights" certainly can't be a tough goal for them. Rafe Mc

He's promised to have 2002 season data with the new version...trouble is it won't be released until 2005.
Bernie makes you pay extra for current licenses (one reason Papy got 1967 on the cheap). What the pompous dwarf doesn't realize is that playing the sims makes one hunger to see the real thing in person, i.e., it converts gamers into paying spectators. But hey, he's rich so he can afford to be as dumb as a freeze-dried anus. "Worm" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a3r0vk$t37$[email hidden]...

Papy didn't buy the '67 rights from the FIA or Bernie IIRC. Instead they had to go to each trademark holder (all the teams and all the tracks) and get seperate licenses from each. Still cheaper than a current F1 licence, just a shit load more work. Book

Yes, that is exactly why the term "Formula 1" or "Formula One" is found nowhere in the game, but replaced by terms like "Grand Prix" or "Advanced Trainee" instead of F2 or F3 cars. It's similar to the licensing type that Ubisoft used for MGPRS2. -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- http://www.ymenard.8m.com/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimato Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...
